Your Family Entertainment AG to launch new business operations
High-quality audio programs for children and the entire family
Munich, March, 12th, 2007 For the first time, Your Family Entertainment
AG (YFE) is to market popular, high-quality audio programs for both
children and the entire family under its own 'yourfamilyentertainment'
label.
As a first step, the talking books, audio plays and nursery rhymes from
YFE´s extensive library are to be distributed via the growing
internet-download market.
As from now on, YFE will be launching a full-scale partnership with Audible
GmbH, the leading download platform for talking books and other audio
content. Audible´s file format is supported by major manufacturers of MP3
players and PDAs, including Apple (iPod, iTunes), Casio, Dell, HP, Philips,
Samsung, Sony and Toshiba. Further strategic partnerships are currently
under negotiation with other talking-book and music-download portals. The
second step will be a CD release of the season´s programs.
'We are the first German label to take the opposite approach and will be
making popular programs available for downloading before they are released
on CD. In this way, we are aiming to establish our young
'yourfamilyentertainment' brand at an early stage in this growth market,'
commented YFE director Dr. Stefan Piëch.
YFE holds the rights to around one hundred audio titles, including classics
such as traditional German nursery rhymes, Grimms´ Fairy Tales read by
Elmar Gunsch, Fix & Foxi, and bestsellers like The Knickerbocker Gang by
Thomas Brezina.
